Art

All students in the school program attend a hands on, creative art program each week. The art work is an extension of the themes being worked on in the classrooms to reinforce language and concepts.

The focus is on:

• Drawing out the children’s natural ability and spontaneity.
• Enjoyment
• Experiencing new techniques and methods eg: printing, collage, papier maché, textiles, clay
• Sensory activities
• Large Murals
• Extending their classroom themes
• Developing self esteem and motivation
• An appreciation of their own works of art

Children’s art work is displayed in professional frames throughout the school and in many public and educational venues.
