The Department of Education and Training (DET) is funding the Outside School Hours Care (OSHC) Demonstration Program in five schools in Victoria. Yarrabah School has been nominated to be part of the Demonstration Program. The OSHC Program began in Term 3 2018 as a pilot program addressing a gap in care services for children and young people with disability. It aims to:
The service is operated by TheirCare and is provided free of charge to families. After school care operates from 3pm to 6pm daily and school holiday programs operate from 8am to 6pm.
TheirCare provides a safe, stimulating and nurturing environment for all children and are committed to building relationships with the school community. During OSHC sessions, children develop life skills, friendships, confidence and creativity through play.

Community Partnerships
The program enjoys connecting with members of our community. Current partnerships include: Aspendale Cub Scouts, Mordy Flyers Basketball Team coaches and Art sessions with a qualified Art Therapist.
