Early Education Program (EEP)

Yarrabah School offers a daily Early Education Program (EEP) for children with a developmental delay. Age of entry to the program is for children between 2 years 8 months to 4 years 8 months.

The program is run by highly skilled teachers with an assistant and offers a structured pre-school program with an emphasis on communication, behaviour modification and socialisation skills with a focus on family centred practice. The Early Education Program is supported by qualified specialists and offers speech sessions, occupational therapy, physiotherapy and music.

Daily Program includes:

  • Developmental play - kindergarten activities including fine motor and sensory activities
  • Gross Motor P.M.P. sessions
  • Music and Movement
  • Structured play activities/Ply to learn program
  • Socialisation/social skills program
  • Boardmaker, Key Word Signing, Cued Articulation - to assist with the development of communication skills
  • Toilet Training program
  • Individual Physiotherapy
  • Occupational Therapy
  • Speech Therapy
