Tree Planting Day: A Wonderful Experience!

On a fabulous, cold, wintery Monday morning, families came to school to join their young ones in a joyful tree-planting adventure. The air was filled with laughter and excitement as everyone pitched in.

Cobbity, Sam, and Kim led the parents to the planting site, where Arthur and Glenn provided valuable tips on how to plant the seedlings and trees. It was a fantastic opportunity for students and families to connect with nature and each other, strengthening the bond within the Yarrabah community.

Connecting with nature has been shown to enhance mental health and well-being. Plus, it's great for our planet!

A huge thank you to everyone who participated: the families, students, and staff who made this day a memorable and impactful experience. Your efforts have contributed to creating a diverse natural environment for our students to enjoy now and in the future.

As Sir David Attenborough said, "Ancient trees are precious. There is little else on earth that plays host to such a rich community of life within a single living organism."
