Yarrabah is a Specialist School that caters for students with intellectual, physical and/or multiple disabilities in the bayside suburb of Aspendale, aged between 2.8 and 18 years.

Yarrabah’s purpose is to maximise student potential by providing an individualised safe learning environment that promotes active learning, encourages adventure, independence and self-esteem. Yarrabah provides all students an individualised curriculum with therapeutic supports that prepare them for life as valued members of the community.

Our philosophy is REAL and is detailed on the programs link under REAL framework.

Yarrabah School prides itself on providing relevant and useful communications that will assist our community to navigate through these times. With a strong social media presence (FacebookTwitter and Youtube), Yarrabah provides its families with helpful advice, resources, community resources and school information in a timely manner.

Yarrabah School aims to sustain a strong connection with families during the Pandemic. The school will be regularly checking in with students and families, provide wellbeing and behaviour supports, offer educational therapy services and support, assess and evaluate program delivery, survey families and most importantly provide every child with the opportunity to succeed.

My staff and I will always be available to listen and answer your enquiries as best we can. I encourage you to keep coming back to read the newsletters, watch our events and reflect on the general information available on this site.

Kindest Regards,

Matthew Harris
